Hello friend,

Well done for getting here; you’ve already made a big first step. There are so many reasons to stay I’d like to offer you. Perhaps it’s best to begin with simple things; even though the world can feel dark and life can be heavy – our planet is so beautiful.

The way that spring brings new life every year, the way the sun shines through the window and brings warmth, all of the creatures who roam this earth alongside us. Maybe take a moment to use your senses to consider what you love – what brings you joy when you see it, smell it, touch it, hear it. It’s hard to say ‘ you are loved’ or ‘ people would miss you if you weren’t here’, as no body knows who someone else has around them or what they have been through.

But I truly believe that everyone brings something to this world… including you. Whether it’s kindness, talent, love, joy, skills or knowledge. Perhaps you are finding it hard right now to see that in yourself, but maybe start to recognise it in others, and soon maybe you’ll see it in yourself too.

If today is a tough day for you, take it as a chance to be kind to yourself. Recognise when your mind is full and your body is tired. Rest and recover without feeling ashamed of yourself. And perhaps if that’s too much, just take your brain on a journey back to when you were feeling better.

Play a song from that time in your life to transport you back to that time. Close your eyes and sit in that moment. Finally, just remember that you are worthy. Two of my favourite sayings are ‘ life starts at the edge of your comfort zone’ and ‘ there is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in’ – if you feel broken right now, let the light in through those cracks.

One day, this time in your life will be a distant memory and you’ll feel proud of yourself for getting through it. I believe in you. You can do this.
